Biking is Safer and More Fun on Paved, Multi-Use Bike Trails

Are you a Central Florida visitor looking for a more "real" experience? Are you a local resident looking for a fun outdoor activity? Bicycle riding is a great way to see Orlando and its surrounding areas. See our Locator Map to find bike trails near you. All are opportunities for year-round recreation and fitness, as well as providing a transportation alternative to auto driving.

See More Information for safety tips, state regulations, and links to more cycling resources. Remember... Florida Law requires bicycle riders under 16 years old to wear helmets. With more trail miles in the works, we update regularly, so please check back often!

A Call to Action

We acknowledge other cities rank as more overall pedestrian- and bike-friendly due to planning for designated bike lanes and the like, and we also sadly acknowledge that Florida ranks highest for biking fatalities. This is a challenge to Orlando and the surrounding communities to continue their efforts and invest in biking and walking options for both safety and health.

To accomplish this, funding for bike trails and bike- and pedestrian-friendly roadways needs to be a transportation priority, not only at the local but at the State and Federal levels. A big step forward was funding for the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail . We encourage you to contact your legislators and representatives and let them know you support funding for bicycle-related projects. Here's a link to find your Florida State representatives .
