Rinehart Trail...

A Link on the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail

The Rinehart Trail is considered a "connector" trail since it links several Seminole County trails and is part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail. Funding has been approved to fill in several gaps in the trail. Mostly along the road with many road and business entrance crossings, there is little to no shade. (Detailed map and photos below.)

The Rinehart Trail runs along roads with no shade, many business entrances and some large road crossings. Not a recreational destination on its own but as part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail and a link to other Seminole County trails.

I-4 Bridge to Lake Monroe

From the convergence of the Cross Seminole and Seminole Wekiva trails at the I-4 bridge in Lake Mary, the Rinehart Trail follows Rinehart Road, SR46, CR15 (Monroe Road) and US17-92 to Wayside Park (some gaps remain). From here, a bike/pedestrian bridge crosses the St. Johns River to meet the Spring-to-Spring Trail at Lake Monroe Park - completing this link on the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail. Along 17-92 it also will connect to the Sanford Riverwalk, once the Riverwalk is completed.
