Walt Disney World... Biking with Mickey
While most visit Walt Disney World for the theme parks and entertainment, there
also are a variety of Central Florida biking options at Disney World in Florida.
Bike rentals are available at several of the resorts, and most roads within the
resorts are bikeable. Biking between resorts is not recommended as there is a lot
of traffic on the main arteries. (More photos, detailed map, and commentary below.)
Biking is available at many of the resort areas within Disney World, but the most enjoyable biking is at Wilderness Lodge
and Fort Wilderness due to their American frontier theme and setting in a pine and cypress forest.
Guests can park with photo ID. Where else can you see Bambi face-to-face in a natural setting?
Ride a bike, go paddling, fishing or swimming. Visit the Disney theme parks for the total package!

Bring your own bikes for a rare, free Disney experience (and real Bambi's,
too). Bike rentals are available at several locations, but be prepared for
expensive Disney pricing.

between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness,
and also an unpaved nature trail. The entire Fort Wilderness
campsite is bikeable, plus there are campsites for recreational vehicles and tents,
cabins for rent, as well as primitive camping sites at Creekside Meadow
(groups of 20 or more). The Trading Posts have restaurants,
shops, and restrooms. Magic Kingdom horses
are stabled at the Tri-Circle-D Farm, and horseback and carriage rides are
available. Bike rentals for children and adults are at Wilderness Lodge
and at the Bike Barn at the campground. Many camping guests bring their own bikes,
or park at Wilderness Lodge and pick up the recreational trail behind the bus stop.
